Oh, I clearly am a white uppity guy. Can you please not lean on my BMW, please?? I just had it polished.
I am going out to a wine and cheese tonite, black tie affair. They serve great Chardonnay there.

No, I dine regularly at Kubels in BL. Anthony Bourdan has eaten there as well so therefore I am the antithesis of an uppity white person.

I also have had a Donkeys cheesesteak (A Jersey Cheesesteak beatchees!)

funny how u speak of the bikers.those people are a plague in my town.idk if its illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk, but yea nobody rides on the sidewalk.ur stuck in traffic doing 2 mph and see theres like 2 cars ahead of u and nothing else, then u pass the biker, riding like hes driving a car.and they always have those gay 8 yr old girl bikes too.my neice and nephew have cooler bikes lol

its always been 2 types of biking.bmx and mountainbiking.now all I see is people going nowhere, just cruising in the slow lane down rt35 causing a standstill behind them.i think they do it on purpose.yea white people are the worst

That used to be the only people who surfed. That's the biggest change since I started. We scrounged to buy a board or used a hand me down. Surfing was a refuge from a sh!tty home life, a place to go and hang with friends all day and basically be a bum. It was the best time to be a surfer.

Now when I see someone pulling a board off of a BMW strapped to the racks with the fins at the back, or someone carrying one, sometimes 2 boards in board bags down to the beach I want to puke. Add a cluster of middle aged mothers with boards along with their kids, all with surfboards, lecturing seasoned surfers for riding without a leash or yelling if you get too close to their precious children and the definition of surfing has been totally upended. Surfing should be wild, dangerous, and untamed or mellow, reflective, and soulful not an extension of a politically correct police state kindergarten. Sorry for the rant, lol.

Very true get them soccer moms out the line up run them over. Viva la localism. You got to think though once it hits 6foot they aren't out there I bet.

Bill, I live 1 mile from the water and 4 miles from my surf break. I don't consider myself uppity, but I am certainly not hurting in life. I am the neighborhood old school punk. I still play my guitars loud, but only before 10pm.

Passed two black kids riding bikes to the beach on Folly road in the bike lane this morning. They were as close to the shoulder as is possible. Pass two white bike dweebs in all their gay attire and they are riding on the line that seperates the bike lane from the car lane thus being partially in the car lane. I have no sympathy for what will inevidably will happen if they continue to tempt fate in this manner. I am amazed C of C students don't get run over daily. Earbuds in, not paying a lick of attention, going down one way streets the wrong, running red lights without even looking ect.Like I said before I rode to work for years but I understand who will pay the ultimite price if an accident occurs and therefore act/ride accordingly.I'm a lot of things but uppity ain't one of 'em. Live how you want just don't f*ck with me and mine and stay off my wave!lolz

well said zippy.back in the day guys hacked down trees ,glued them together and made boards.they drove shytty cars, ate from the land, and slept in tents on the beach.surfing was the anarchy sport, anything goes.

now like u said,i see bmws, lexus's,benz's, with $2000 sups, taking up all the good parking.they basically bought their way into the sport.i wasn't born into a surfing family,my family hates the beach.my first board was lent to me by an old school friend from hs and he never asked for it back lol.hes more of a skater so he doesn't care.i waxed my boards with those little candles u put under the oils, didnt have a leash and never lost the board.losing the board meant surfing was over.if it broke we put that shyt back together.then surfing started booming with all the online hype, etc,I learned a bit more like they actually have leashes and wax lol.I was as clueless as a muslim living in jerusalem
