I have three boards and one has to go...which one?

Anything a funboard can do, a hybrid can do better, especially for the experienced surfer. But that's a very small niche in the board-building world, and many manufacturers don't even produce them. But every label's got a funboard line.

 

Being married and having just gotten my third board I would say that it is up to you to convince her how important a quiver is for areas with not much surf. It sounds like you already failed at this when getting the new board, but I understand the bargaining principle. Selling my boards is just not an option we entertain. She does get mad because its never enough. But I always fall back on the fact that I'm gonna teach the whole family(we have three kids) so I am actually 2 short of what I need for that. I would say find something else to sell, or a quick side job so you can say "look honey, this makes up for it". Next time use a different bargaining chip, not one of your other boards. Just my 2 cents.
