This ^^ is yet more fatuous, self-indulgent, narcissistic crap from you gnome. You certainly are impressed with yourself. Few others are - - you get called out on the reg for your lameness.

Back when you got banned for life from Sways, I read the treads where the Sways folks ripped you a new one, gnome.

Pretty simple: you got banned for life; no one else did. And it wasn't to spare anyone a heart condition, it was to drive away from the folks at Sways a useless piece of bearded sheep offal. (uh... that would be you gnome)

The unfortunate thing is that you landed here, on SI, like a modern plague; or, a talking sphincter. Igual y no bueno.

Ummm...bagus....please speak for yourself on that matter. I have no antipathy towards Roy at all.
He may be "different"that you, or I, but different is a good thing. If we all held the same thoughts, life would be boring, o bagus!!

As a matter of fact there are two of us: the other fellow is the designer of the 'fat penguin' surfboard. He was the first.

You're constantly attempting to obfuscate the truth, gnome.

It's like your $$million planks: just because you say it's so doesn't make it so, as much as you try to make it so when you scrunch your beady lil eyes, rake your grimy fingernails through your skankmaster beard & chant your pagan curses over the bubbling sheep dip at your nightly campfire.

How did this thread devolve into such a hatefest? A tip for the boy building the wood plank. Use poly resin to glass and seal it. It is super clear and the whole idea of a wood stick is the beauty of the wood. Epoxy clouds with tiny air bubbles on the laps and doesn't look as nice no matter how hard you try. Only shows on darker blanks and that woodie is kinda darkish. We call it a "halo". Also, the weave of the cloth is more apparent taking away a little more of the aesthetic appeal. Heavy wood boards are fun to ride but hard to turn and hurt when you crash IMHO. It will make a sick wall hanger but doubtfully get ridden a whole lot. Polish that girl up like a diamond w/ poly resin and enjoy it. Just remember to hot coat the blank first and let it fully cure before you continue glassing or it will delam. Suncure kick it along with a little tiny bit of MEKP so you have lots of time to make it perfect. Make sure to use Chempro gloves, a tyvek and a respirator. Styrene and curing resin will burn you. Don't do it in your house, the smell will never, ever leave. Have fun with it...

That depends upon the epoxy, and cloth isn't necessary.

Polyester resin is inferior for coating wood.

Weight is a bonus in longboards if they are designed with it in mind.

Weight is to performance, like polyester resin is to inferior... there are good reasons for both.

There's a good reason for gnome's lobotomy, too.
