But not 60 foot faces 2 minute 2 wave hold down Mav's. I'm a grom, I mean a nice slow rolling 15 foot face that never actually breaks top to bottom. Like 15 foot 10 second hold down Mav's.

    Looks fun right?

    Anyone else though of this?

good luck man. half moon bay is gnarly as it is, even with a boat access can be troublesome at times if you don't know what your doing. Even the jetty refraction on the inside can be intimidating. Plus, good luck catching the right swell conditions to make that "little" perfect wave, from what i saw in person mavs could be fickle. 10-15 foot steamer lane only translated to 4 foot mavs the day i was there.

and me ol buddy blaster that wave right there is probably more hazardous than any wave in the south east (including hurricane season) save anywhere but OBX.

The only spots that I know on the eastcoast that can hold legitimate 15 foot faces is Ruggles, a couple well kept secrets up north and some inlets down south if you get lucky, really lucky.

Sorry to burst your bubble amigo, but I would definitely log some serious tube time at pipe, practice some big wave surfing up in the North West (or equivalent) and have someone with you that is a Mav's local before you charge "small mavs". But hey man it's your health insurance premiums...

Haha.. You think that's a "slow rolling face?"

Notice the jersey's? That's during the contest last year.

A good warmup for Mav's would be Todos Santos (aka Killer's). Stay in Ensenada and hire a panga to take you to the island. Only slightly less lethal.

Mark Foo (a better surfer than you) died at Mav's on a slightly bigger day than pictured.

i'm pretty sure the only white shark attacked recorded there occurred when the waves were in the size range pictured.

also, anyone else wondering how big the rock is that's making the boil in the bottom pic?

I know but every guy was pearling because their boards were too big and the waves that broke a little was like once every 10 mins...

Bro I surf Mavs every year. Every year I get bit by a shark, and convert to Xianity.

Me knows a few spots in NH, all you gotta do is drive the coast and you cant miss em. Would I paddle out in that rock fest--- nope.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I ACTUALLY PICTURE KENNY POWERS SAYING THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
