I'm not really to sure... There is like an active ingredient in it or something that really opens your sinuses. People have been using it to treat sore throat and sinus infections for thousands of years. One day I had a terrible sinus infection, and was desperate and was researching more way to get rid of my infection. Long story short, I found that I should snort cayanne pepper. I did. It burned like hell. I rolled around on the floor writhing in pain. By the time the pain subsided, my sinus infection was gone!

Its kind of a "drastic measures" situation, but it always works!

Anyways... Check out this site guys... It gives you holistic cures for just about any ailment you can think of... Its basically the ****!!!

it's all about capsaicin, but no way I'd ever snort it. that's insane.

In case you don't make it through the whole article:

In 2006, it was discovered that tarantula venom activates the same pathway of pain as is activated by capsaicin, the first demonstrated case of such a shared pathway in both plant and animal anti-mammal defense.

Did you get it done? Dude, this is how I felt as well... But, it was NOT the answer for me to get surgery... It made it ever worse then it was.

I wish I had responded earlier, because I would have tried to convince you otherwise. There are other things to try, and surgery should always be the very very last option. Having said that, I believe you are looking to get something differently then what I had done, so it might not be comparable.

Either way, I think surgery is hardly ever a good option, unless it is necessary.

I had sinuplasty surgery and I can already tell a difference with my breathing (better) airways are much cleaner I guess.Yeah I had the surgery on the 11th and was out of it for 4 days. Tylenol w/codine...missed some work and the waves.
I had packing in my nose during this time and had to sleep upright (as much as possible). Had it removed on the 15th.
My problem was sinus infections and headaches after sports and the MRI showed why.
The junk coming out of my nose now is ridiculous so I think it worked. The real test is the headaches, if I get them as frequent as I did before. I still have Neti-pot and will keep using it.

cool, you had something different then me... Apparently what I had done, was super conservative, but it made my allergies symptoms worse by opening up my nasal breathing. That might not be the issue for you. Glad you are feeling better. Sinus problems suck!
