So I was watching Shred shows latest review on the Lib Tech Puddle Jumper and noticed that they mentioned a place in california called "the quivers"... They have a ton of the most popular name brand boards available as well as some local shapers boards available for MONTHLY RENTALS!! Of course they have the daily rentals as well ranging from 15-30 bucks per day BUT they have a MONTHLY RENTAL program that allows you to exchange boards as many times as you want for $99 per month! Again this is not a bunch of beater boards, they list a ton of NEW style boards that you can swap in and out. I think this is such a great idea and I wish someone around here would let you do that. I know Cinnamon Rainbows will let you take a board out for around 25 and swap out as many times as you want for the DAY, but most of the boards are out for the day during the busy times and as far as I know they dont have alot of newer boards to try out from alot of the big name brands... Summer sessions, forget it.. the only one I have seen that has some newer boards out there to try out for the day is Pioneer board shop that I know of but since they are a ways away from both spots in NH it doesnt make sense to swap out boards.. Does any one do this in New England? What about Liquid Dreams in ME? I think this would be an awesome idea. Imagine swapping out boards every few days for a month and trying out the latest boards for $99 per month? I would buy a board in a heartbeat from a place that did that. This way you would know exactly what you wanted! Im sure you could get board companies to subsidize it somehow too if you really got creative. Maybe even an option to buy program or putting the monthly fee towards a new board if you buy from the company?
Ive got an empty barn with a new roof on my property waiting to be used for something. I have thought of starting a board exchange out of said barn. The problem is, I have no money, no business plan and very little time to start said operation. Give me some money and a few hundred boards and I will let you pay 99dollars a month to play with my collection. fins not included (unless you provide them too)
