Illegal Mexicans

I can't imagine a situation where an illegal immigrant can somehow purchase a home - even if they had the cash money stuffed in a briefcase, so much paperwork and tax info etc. but anyway when they rent, typically they overcrowd a rental property. Meaning you have the owner paying property taxes on a 2 bedroom house, and there are at least 4 families living in it. Or a 1 BR garden apt. rented by someone who sublets bed space out to illegals, 8-10 people in that apt. But the area is not zoned for that kind of density, more # than usual for that size house kids come to school, that much extra trash gets put out, etc. and in order to pay for the extra services that these people consume, they raise property taxes overall on everyone in the zone.

 

SEND THE BEANERS BACK!!!! They have held the wages down in the trades for way too long

 

I have been an Immigration Agent for almost 20 years, several of those years have been spent teaching immigration law. I just recently returned from spending 6 months in Maryland, Virginia and NC and enjoyed a great winter of butt-cold surfing in OCMD and the Outer Banks.

To get back on thread...why so many illegals in MD and NC?

A few reasons, the biggest being availability of work and the willingness of the population to overlook their status because of cheap labor. Throw in the fact that illegals will flock to any place where the laws tend to be more liberal, so they may obtain things like drivers licenses and free benefits like food stamps, financial stipends (welfare) and other goods & services like education.

It should be stated in no uncertain terms that the overwhelming majority of U.S. citizens, whether they are black, white, yellow, purple or paisley...are against every type of illegal immigrant. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority of illegal entrants are obviously Hispanic; and the overwhelming majority of illegal Hispanics are obviously from Mexico. Americans have stated that it doesn't matter if an illegal immigrant is from Russia, Sweden, Canada, Zimbabwe, China, Vietnam or Honduras...ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL and they should be deported and not rewarded with a path to legalization. But because Hispanics make up the majority of the illegal population, they tend to be the most sensitive about the issue and respond with hollow rationalizations like "xenophobia", "racism", "hatred" etc. If Martians made up the majority of "illegal aliens" in this country, we probably wouldn't hear a peep out of the Hispanic population...as a matter of fact, they'd probably throw up the biggest howl about losing jobs and money.

Many are hard working. Unfortunately, many tend to bring non-working family members and children as well. They contribute nothing to society, and tend to be a huge burden on Federal, State and Local support systems.

It is true that entering the country illegally is not a felony. However, it should be noted that a misdemeanor entry violation is immediately compounded by identity fraud, with many illegals stealing Social Security numbers, birth certificates and other identity documents. There is an immediate lack of respect for our country's laws upon entry. Then, they continue to break laws by driving drunk, stabbing others, burglary and theft, and the list goes on and on. There is a reason that illegal aliens fill our jails and prisons across the country...and the reason is NOT because of "profiling".

And yes...they can by houses in the U.S. Where I live, many Mexican politicians and Drug Cartel leaders buy mansions here in town.

A few here have said that they pay taxes but do not receive them back, which is absolutely not true. Many do not pay taxes, as they receive their pay under the table. Those who do, clog every H & R Block and Jackson Hewitt on April 14 of every year. Many Americans do not have a real concept of how well the illegal population knows how to abuse every single loophole of American society. Go visit any border town in California, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas...stay for a while to get a good feel for what's going on.

Then come on back to this board and give a more informed opinion.

Illegal immigration is not something to take sides on.
Its an invasion like in any other conflict.
Defend yourself or disappear (See world history.)
It has always been the "Have nots" feeding off of the "Haves."
'THEM" are what has ended just about every major civilization that ever was.(See world history)
And from the surviving literature (That was not burned by "THEM").
It was always the Elite,high minded,lofty attitude,dissmissive of the populace,
individuals that have started that civilization down the road to ruin.


The percentage of Amercians that say NO to THEM being here is 65%........ 65%.
51% is the magic number I believe.

I heard something about not needing a social security number to get a license in those states or something weird like that. NC SC PA and MA. I live in jersey and its annoyed the crap out of me for years. And its not even the mexicans its the damn brazillians

 

I will say one statement to follow that up. I like Brazillian culture etc... But I HATE, HATE HATE HATE HATE brazillian guys in the ocean. Brazil litterally has no "ethics" or laws in surfing. Their entire nation is a drop-in, free for all. I mean, usually I would say that it is a "large number" of them, but in this case, it is EVERY single one ive met. EVERY ONE OF THEM!!!!!!! At a bar or anywhere else, Bring on the portugese, but we should ban brazillian natives from our ocean. They have no respect...

On a similar not, next time you think you have identified an "illegal mexican" you should ask him to bring their mexican waves with them next time. You may all hate mexico, but it has arguable some of the best surf on the planet....

I bet you guys would invite them in with open arms if they brought some of those long period groud swells with them =)

"May I please have a raise to four dollars?"!!!!!!!! yea, that's right - a raise TO four dollars! - i mean, no matter how you feel about it, these workers are f*cking abused!

Here in Jersey a simple labor with a shovel get $135 a day for 8 hours. Plus you buy their lunch.
Thats $16.87 an hour. Plus the cost of lunch say $ 5.00. So that $140.00 a day. Thats $700 a week.
$2,800 a month, Thats $33,600 a year TAX FREE.
If they have and Anchor baby they get welfare, the baby birth is free,housing ,food, Med care, schooling,etc,etc,etc. On and on and on. All the things you pay for they don't.
PLUS THEY STILL GET TO KEEP ALL OF THE $33,600, NO TAXES.
You add the $33,600 to what ever you think all the welfare adds up to.
I'll go along with what ever dollar amount you put on it.
Now you tell me how bad these poor people have it.

you all see it. it's right there, but it will never happen...send ONE corporate bigwig to jail for harboring and abetting criminal activity for hiring illegals and the job market would shut down...and all you guys would have all the housecleaning, janitorial, slaughterhouse, fruit-picking, house building jobs you can handle, but it won't happen, because big business (and small) relies on this labor from the ports to the heartland. take away the draw and they will not come. run that one by your local republican...good luck with that....

This is another myth that Republicans, Democrats and the pro-Illegal Immigration agenda is propagating.

They would have you believe that the jobs you've listed are so miserable and pay so poorly, that only illegal aliens will do them. WRONG.

There are many LEGAL immigrants with green cards that will do these jobs without having to raise wages...I see it every day...I actually get complaints that the illegals are stealing jobs from legal immigrants as well as U.S. citizens. And, there are plenty of people in this country willing to do the jobs, but all the wrong people are telling the population that we just don't have the people and illegal aliens are filling a necessary void.

This could be solved with a solid Guest Worker Program, where people are verified upon entry and exit. Don't you think that people from Serbia, Georgia, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Nigeria or Ghana or any other developing nation would give their left testicle to be able to be sponsored and earn a good wage to take home after a 2-year tour of duty? AND, they would go home afterward...sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? But, it CAN be done...easily.

Oh, and one more thing...this outright lie about the impossibility of deporting "12 million illegal entrants" (try more like 25 million!!!!). Notice how everyone says it's "impossible"...but never gives an answer why it would be "impossible". It would actually be very simple if the Government would just follow the letter of the law...it's already on the books, guys. We don't need "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"...we just need to follow the law as it already exists. Apprehend and deport everyone who is illegally in the U.S., and punish those who would hire them.

Wrong. Business does not "rely" on this labor. Because these people are here and because they will break the law and work illegally. If you have a business where you can plausibly get away with using illegals off-the-books, you have basically the choice of using them or going out of business as you watch your competitors use them. And businesses do get in trouble. Just not that often, because the federal government chooses not to enforce the law.

 

I am astounded by how people will post things on boards like this without really knowing facts about the issues. Please, if you don't know an issue, READ don't write about it.

There's a ton of bad info on this thread from both sides of the debate. Here's just one: Dan stated "I can't imagine a scenario in which an illegal immigrant would be able to buy a house."

It's simple. You obtain an IRS issued taxpayer identification number to use place of a social security number and you use that. To obtain one, you do not need to provide proof of legal U.S. legal residency. Several banks, including Bank of America, have set up special programs for people in this situation.

 

Geez, that would rule out about 95 percent of the posts on these forums (not just this thread)! Most people believe that their opinion is fact and more factual then the other person's fact.

So what to do with all those other folks working under the table in the parallel economy? Evict them, throw them into jail or what? It is rampant in the south.

It is interesting to hear all the folks in the Gulf that are involved in the fishing, tourism and other industries that are crying that they are not getting reimbursed for their losses when they only receive a $20K check which is all their income tax statements can support. So instead of paying/reimbursing these folks the IRS and other Feds should round these folks up and throw them into jail! Go for it!

 

the difference is that those people are CITIZENS and illegals are...well...ILLEGAL!!!!
