    I've found that having a (mild) buzz helps in some situations, hinders in others. Sometimes I find myself taking it too seriously, forgetting to just have fun, and a timeout session helps me to refocus on why they hell I'm out there anyways.

    If I'm really working on something though, trying to get something new down, then I find it often hinders me.

    Generally I like to start the AM surf with a nice clean slate, then after I get some waves in, body loosens up, etc, I might catch a buzz and play around more. PM sessions after I've already had a good day, nice mellow buzz, just enjoying everything about the experience...pure gold.

    Chillin' out the back, watching the sun go down after a gorgeous day, then picking off that last ride...magic.

    Have to admit, A couple shots of soco and it's easier to jump in 37 degree water!
