We got the IRAQ/Afghanistan debacle bc the Neo-Cons and their partisan "team of supporters" just had to be right and ram the whole thing down the throats of the American People. Remember the "W" bumper stickers? FastFwd to today and the Neo-libs have "their team" and their agenda called the ACA (among other ghastly things) to ram down peoples throats. Same pie, different shi$t!

So I can easily sum up the past 33 pages of "debate" here by saying that no matter what the 'issue' is...people just line up on whatever side of the fence they are told to line up on. We (I say 'we' loosely bc I hate team sports and see them for what they are--indoctrination devices to impose and legitimize 'followers and leader' roles) have been trained to think and behave this way by our professional sports franchises, churches, our elementary and high schools and our universities. If you travel as much as I did you notice quickly that we are the only people who "team" up the way we do. Just visit a German University and ask the first person you see what their team "mascot" is? You will get laughed at, probably repeatedly.

A serious question. Can you give me some information about your family? Number of household members, rough income? My wife got a quote for $1600 a month. we are family of 2 (empty nesters) making about 50k this year.
No subsidy.

Sweden and Oz work rather well. I have friends that live in both location. My wife's former co-worker's husband, nearly died in the US, and it was hard to get initial and follow-up appointments. Both women work(ed) at a major hospital which has very poor health insurance for its employees and family. Being a Swedish citizen she and the family moved back to Sweden so her husband could receive quality health care.

My friend in OZ tells me that he and others don't understand what all the fuss is about health care in the US.
