    Hello Surfers,
Aussie coming over to San Fran in April for 4 weeks and Im wondering about the chance of getting some waves. The trip is not really about surfing but being a surfer I will really want get out and have a wave. My stats:
    44 yrs
Capable in waves up to 6ft
    Short board rider
    Live In Sydney

    My questions:
How often is Ocean beach good?
Where else should I go? (Santa Cruz etc)
I dont have a car and am not taking a board so I will be reliant on a place to stay close to both the beach and board rental. Suggestions?

I probably see myself waiting for decent conditions and maybe surfing once/week?

thanks and Happy Waves - feel free to post here or email me ....

hey bro! well you will most likely be dealing with steady onshore winds in the bay area. most spots will be blown out. santa cruz would be your best bet. if the winds do cooperate then you might try ocean beach, or a bit south in pacifica and halfmoon bay.
