Tried out Wetsox today! We've all seen them advertised! Always have a hell of a time getting out of a my winter suite! Well folks, the suit went right on and right off! Best $25 bucks I spent in a while! No I don't have stock I just want to share how I was not exhausted after changing! In fact, it was beyond easy! Peace

can you update this the second time you go in the water? Wonder if the sox get nasty if you go in and out of the water multiple times in the day. Also curious after you wash them (?) if that's what you do with them. Getting in and out of a 4/3 chest zip can be brutal, so i'm all ears. never considered wetsox tho i've seen the ads pop up

Amazon! You also add 1mm to your boots! No problem getting them on!

This reminds me that I've been wondering if sand socks would work similarly (I have a pair for playing volleyball in). I'm guessing no because the stiffer sole won't slide easily, but it seems like it's worth a try. I recently tried putting boots and gloves on first, then putting a plastic bag over one foot, then the other, then each hand when putting the wetsuite on (I think I read that suggestion on here a few months ago). Didn't work for me, took just as long, the plastic bag got ripped to pieces, and I looked like a kook (not that that's any different than any other day). Always looking for easier methods to get in and out of the suite though. Only found two that actually work so far: 1) be less fat, and 2) wait for wetsuite technology to improve (putting on my 5/4 now is a f*cking dream now compared to the zipperless 5/4/3 I had back in the late 90s where I had to climb in through the neck... like with the inner part of a chest-zip except so much less stretchy.... and couldn't get out of it without someone else pulling the first arm down past the elbow).

Xcel Inifiniti X2 TDC 5/4 that I got a little over a year ago (so 2015 or 2016?)... I think. I know it's an xcel 5/4 and the price of that one roughly lines up with what I remember paying.

My previous winter suite was from... 2001 or 2002, so I imagine literally anything on the market today would've seemed like a mindblowing upgrade.

it feels like a under armour material, maybe a little thicker! I always fight to get my legs free when removing the suite! today the whole leg slid right off! couple hrs hanging would dry them! kinda silky!

I can add to this. I've had mine since xmas. Got them as a gift. They really do make taking off the wetsuit and booties so much easier, no more tugging on end when I'm tired or exhausted.

I use them in my 5mil and 7mil boots and can say they add to the warmth a bit.

I just clean mine with regular soap. They will hang dry in a day.

Only concern is the stitching doesn't seem very sturdy. And there is a weird point on the toe. Overall I'd recommend them. For $25 they are worth it. Hopefully the last a bit.
