^Drunk fool. Although I do consider you to be intelligent, you are incapable of having a discussion with intelligent peers.
Not taking the bait. In the last 40 years, conservatives have gerrymandered and promoted inaccessibility to the polls for non-white Americans. Having that discussion on this forum is a wasted effort. Not drunk yet. Just winding up.

So you don't think that the left allowing illegals to be included in the census to bolster electoral votes in states like Cal isn't gerrymanering?
GW Bush launched a 5 year investigation into voter fraud.
Yes. Yes we have. And because of it, we buried Al Bore. And now, Hilary the biatch.
Seems to work. Lets keep minorities away from the voting booths. At all cost.......
So where do you draw the between responsibility and morality?
In what capacity? Always do the right thing all the time?
There you have it. Someone has the barrs to be honest about it.
Run that one by Seldom?
W challenging integrity in the election process is like a bear with three assholes and gills. It's ridiculous
Just admit you were wrong about there never being interest from the right about voter fraud.
Well when it comes to progressive policy and healthcare?
You can say helping less fortunate's is the right thing to do, and I agree.
But it's not right to force someone with violence to help the less fortunate.
Nor forcing redistribution of wealth, which the "progressives" (code word for communists, these days) adore, without warning all of their useful idiot flocks what brutality awaits each of them, after that, indeed.
Man they got you slaves working overtime tonight.
Waving their banner for free. Oh wait they probably made you buy the t shirts.
Are you guys all at sloflos? Does it smell like cat pee? Think you will be able to work around that?
nope. the w bush play was going after brown people. had nothing to do with a sincere effort enhance the voices of americans being represented at the voting booth by ensuring access to the polls. just racist hoo-haa for fahks that lurk this forum and the like.
not sure at all what you're referring to? i think, all hate-each-other aside, you misinterpreted what i said when I was "quoting you". The "quote":
"But if you can't pay your premiums, lose your insurance, then you're scum. [SARCASM] And if you have to rely on public assistance for mental health treatment to keep you from going postal (which is clearly in the best public interest), you should take the high road and kill yourself because thats the only time its okay to act socially responsible and consider the greater good."
What I was saying was that keeping someone from going postal is in the best public interest. Mentally ill not getting treatment when they are or are becoming a threat to the safety of themselves or others is a public health crisis. Clearly. And we definitely want all people to have unconditional access to that type of treatment to prevent mass shootings and public acts of violence. Inviting the individual I made up in this scenario to kill themselves was also sarcastic, applying my "catch phrase" to the prevailing ethos of the conservative wing of the forum--- that the burden of health care costs for "scum" is not something the taxpayer should be burdened by. By doing so I thought that I was coyly pointing out one of seemingly many exceptions where any reasonable person can agree that the prevailing public health needs are met by providing care to an individual at "no cost".
The common rebuttal is "the mentally ill aren't scum" because people want to think themselves good people, but what is footnoted to that is that they aren't interpreted as "scum" until they commit a crime--- then its open season, and by mentally ill they need to be visibly mentally ill in the traditional hollywood sense, not an illness considered illegitimate (depression). Barry might add that they're scum if they're homeless and bringing down his property value, or simply because they aren't white enough.
Now I have a copious amounts of compassion for the mentally ill. I've worked in the field for a long time and I am an adamant promoter of their rights.
The health care you speak of already exists. At least here in NJ.
But the whole diagnosis of mental illness in states hands is a slippery slope.
For instance depression is now categorized as mental illness when it is perfectly normal and a part of life for anyone to become depressed under certain circumstances.
And also the state solution is just to drug people with mental illness which only makes the situation worse because they become dependent on SSRI's in order to function in society.
The mass shootings happen when they go off their meds. 99% of all mass shootings in the past 25 years the perps were on some form of SSRI.
I agree people who need help deserve help, but to hold society responsible is immoral.
I don't care what form of govt you have there will always be problems. Utopia is a myth.
Although I like him, I will not even waste my time reading Mr. Incorrigible's post; however, I shall address your post. I shall give you an example of "slaves" and socialist style governments, simply so that you understand what Mr. Incorrigible is advocating with his socialist/communist agenda, whether he realizes it, or not. It is not good.
Once upon a time, when I was living in Jamaica, and had fallen deeply in love with a young man, born upon the island, and of British descent, I wished for him to come visit me, here within the states, after my visa had expired. He was not permitted to do so. I could not, initially, understand why that happened to be the case. His family did not appear to be poor, by any means, and they even owned a plantation, quite a bit away from their own residence, which was decent by most standards, because his father was a retired government employee. My gentleman was frequently at the yacht club, as a member, just like my best friend from high school's family was; however, there was a distinct difference which I failed to recognize, at first, and a very big one it happened to be, indeed.
My girlfriend kept attempting to explain to me that he and his family did not have money. Again, the family did not live in a shack, like a peasant, and there exist many shacks there, indeed; although, they go by another name. His family even owned a few small businesses, but still, my girlfriend, whose family is extraordinarily wealthy, kept insisting the family did not have money, standing, power. I continued to tell her that I did not care. I was truly in love.
It was finally explained to me that the government would not permit him to leave the island; he was in essence a slave, with absolutely no freedom. He wanted to leave, visit me, while I was away, but he could not do so. IT WAS NOT PERMITTED. The reason being, is that his family did not have enough assets invested in the island, to guarantee his return to the island; hence, they were WHITE SLAVES, even though they had black slaves with next to nothing, not even a toilet nor running water, working for them.
It was extremely frustrating for both of us, and thus, I would return again and again, for five years, leaving the island only long enough to meet government mandates. He would not propose to me, continually explaining that he could not give me the life that I was accustomed to and deserved, even though he was head over hills in love with me. The family was finally able to build up enough assets to leave the island, but it took three generations, and most are now in Canada, freezing their little butts off. They were one of the fortunate ones, and I still do not know how they technically managed it (legally or not), simply because I finally went on with my life, but I did speak with him briefly (he is married), for the first time about a year ago, and he told me that he saved every last one of my letters and photos, claiming that they were too precious to him to leave behind on the island.
As for healthcare down there, it is pathetic. My girlfriend's family has always come here for anything and everything healthcare related, unless it simply cannot be helped. One time I was there during such and event, when my girlfriend had to be rushed to the hospital in Kingston. I went with her, and conditions were beyond acceptable standards. It was quite disconcerting, but it could not be helped in that instance. They are most certainly not slaves to the island, and never have been, but they are one of the few exceptions. That is what Mr. Incorrigible is advocating, whether he realizes it or not.
Flo was gay in Jam Rock
No. I certainly did not turn gay for it all. I began dating an American man of Sicilian descent, from New York, LOL.
Times were tough back then
