I booked a surf trip to the Telo Island Lodge in Indonesia for July of 2017 (www.pegasuslodges.com) and won't be able to make the trip. Trips are non-refundable but if I find a replacement, I can get the refund. The trip is fully paid and I'm willing to knock $500 off what I paid ($6,850) if you'll take my spot. If July doesn't work, they said I could fill any spot during 2017 and they'd release the trip and refund the difference in cost if any. Scam? Wow guys... I said I wasn't going to be involved with the transaction and you'll be dealing directly with the lodge. I am just trying not to lose my entire purchase. I chose the $500 discount because it is a popular destination and I thought someone would go for it, but if not, I'll of course take a best offer.

Assuming you're legit, which is still pretty suspect, posting up that amount of money in full for a trip more than 6 months out is flat out dumb.
Just curious i guess of why you can't go? maybe it's a real sad story that'll make us not give you sht for booking a trip with that much mula in advance. i personally have indonesia way back in the peking order of surf destinations. that country still gets plagues, just sayin
The USA gets plagues also. In fact, ground squirrels in California now have been positively cultured for Yersinia Pestis, the bacteria that causes classical bubonic or pneumonic plague, as have prairie dogs in the American Midwest. And then, of course, there is the HIV plague ravishing the USA since about 1980............
