Not even knowing what this means, how could Homeland Security prove how much electronic currency one has upon crossing a border?
ahhh, I was hoping for the abbreviated version for dummies so I'll pass. Just curious, as I'll probably never have crypto.
Careful out there boys...don't get caught inside! The price of ethereum crashed as low as 10 cents from around $319 in about a second on the GDAX cryptocurrency exchange on Wednesday, which is being blamed on a "multimillion dollar market sell" order. Ethereum is an alternative digital currency to bitcoin and had been trading as high as $352 on Wednesday. Adam White, the vice president of GDAX which is run by U.S. firm Coinbase, posted on the exchange's blog, outlining what took place at around 12:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday. According to White, the multimillion dollar market sell order resulted in a number of orders being filled from $317.81 to $224.48.
Some bold claims are being thrown out there. John McAffe tweeted that Bitcoin will be $500,000 in 3 years. He went on to say, "Wanna bet? If I'm wrong I will eat my own d!ck on national TV." Considering his knowledge on the internet of things this is something to keep an eye on or at least put a couple of thousand into BC. Etherium was designed to outperform BC in transaction speed handling 1000s of transactions per second compared to BCs problem of slow processing time due to the volume. But a new token has been introduced by the developer of Steemit to be the "Etherium Killer". EOS is being designed to to handle millions of transactions per second with no fees. It is still in development stage and won't be implemented for another year, but if it does what it says it will do you can expect to see a very healthy return in an investment. Hovering at around $2 a token right now is not a bad time to throw some $$$ into it.
That sell off was due to a false rumor that started on Reddit that the developer died in a car crash. Definitely an uncertain area but you gotta be in it to win it.
No matter what caused it, it shows the high risk nature of this "investment", and I use that term sarcastically. More like roulette, arch. But putting a bit of money down on a risky bet isn't alway bad, as long as it is a very small percentage of your net worth; very small percentage......
