is it even worth owning a board in the northeast?

Seriously dude? You come onto an East Coast surf predictin' site and bag on EC surf? You have to be the Kook Of All Kooks.

So you had a cup of coffee in Santa Barbara? You were probably that goon that was scratching his balls, sniffing his fingers and wondering aloud why Hammond's doesn't break in the summertime. Did you flunk out of Basket Weaving 101 after a semester at UCSB, then get run out of Campus Point by all the blow-in's?

If you can't find a wave on the EC, then you've already let everybody here know what a total barney you are. Do yourself and everybody else a favor --- *don't* own a board in the NE, and catch the next Greyhound back to Carpinteria.

Don't let your Meat Loaf, KOOK

    He's right.
If you just moved here you would think surfing in the NE and Mid Atlantic is pretty pointless.
Yes you can claim we've had some knee to waist high surf, but in the majority of the surfing world around the planet, that's not even a wave.
This is the worst summer I've ever seen for surf, period.

Kelly slaters wave pool is coming bro. Just be patient. He and Dr. Evil are also working on a massive barge operation that will pull up to anyone's beach and though a top secret mechanism under the barge they will send perfect 4-6 foot surf at your sandbar. You just have to buy a ticket and have a pair of real short outerknown throwback boardshorts on.
I hear Mystic, CT will be the first sandbar to see the barge. So you are in luck.

    but yes. Its been flat.

Definitely no reason to buy a board, or even go to the beach. East coast is always flat, sharky and full of flesh eating ameoba
