I pondered the same question until I checked the cams OCNJ is waist high definatly not worth the 30min plus drive in the snow. If the winds subside in the afternoon there maybe be something better and worth it

waist to chest isn't "epic" by any means, just sayin. Good on ya if you paddle out though.

i think waist to chest can certainly be epic if conditions are perfect.

    re: epic

I used to do a lot of rock climbing back in the day and we had various levels of epic depending on how gnarly it got. E1 meant that it got hairy, we got really scared but everything worked out. E4 meant we got caught somewhere near the top of a big rock face, high in the mountains and it felt like you could die at any moment. Granted epic can have different meanings but

I'd agree that waist to chest can be perfect, classic, incredibly fun... but I don't use the word epic unless my life has been at risk. :D

I went out between 1pm and 2:30pm. waist to chest faces, long lines holding up- some fun rides today. If you have the itch go and get on it before sundown.

lol nothing near epic, but fun.

Epic: Being unusually large, powerful or wonderful. On a grander scale than the modified word would otherwise imply.
