Yea, I just saw the updated forecast :-( not as big as they were predicting before, but I guess I still might give it a try tomorrow. Monday looks good too, but it looks like there might be thunderstorms. I just hope the crowds aren't ridiculous tomorrow like the last time and I can find a place to rent a longboard. My guess is if Monday holds up, that would be the best option, can't imagine it being too crowded and I guess if there are less people out they will let everyone go about their business.

dude i don't get it everyone always complains about long beach being crowded or some other beach. If you know its gonna be crowded before you get there why bother going. Go surf somewhere else. Instead of doing the same exact thing as everyone else and flocking to the same beaches to ***** about how crowded it is, find another spot. It's a big island im sure you can find another wave but if your not willing to do that save the drama for yo mama and be quiet already about how kooks are crowding the lineups.

Well what do you suggest is the best place to commute to from nyc? I understand far rockaway is just as crowded, and long beach only has the one surfing beach after 9am.

its hard for people who arent in my situation to understand my attitude. i understand where you guys are coming from, you just want to go surfing. try and put yourself in my shoes. i am not trying to sound tough either my bark is just as loud and to the point in the water. I wish it wasnt needed but it is. Personally I'm hoping for a cold, cold winter.

Loggerhead what if every break adopted your locals only rule? If they did then your next trip to PR or CR or some other exotic break is ruined when you paddle out and the locals tell you to go home it's a locals only break. Summer crowds suck, winter is coming grow up.
