Yeah, The co-founder from Home Depot has a huge crib here, same with the coca cola execs. The marjoity of the island is very "exclusive", all gated and stuff. Private little airport with jets coming in and out, but it's no La Jolla. I mean, it's super nice, but they made a bad decision for the economy when they started pumping out timeshare units all over the island 10 years ago. It gave a lot more people the ability to vacation here for relatively cheap. Which sounds okay, but its a ton of families that blew their wod on paying for the time share, so they show up with coolers, packed lunches, maybe play putt putt and catch a movie, but they aren't dropping heavy cash in the restaurant and stuff. It's mainly a golf resort. Guys come down here and drop 200-300 playing golf.

But yeah, the home depot thing is legit. They do live here and when they come through, they spend a ton of cash.

This place doesn't feel like the south at all, besides the hot temps and warm water. Feels more like living in Ohio, with palm trees and an ocean.

Ohh, and Havre De Grace is a beautiful town in Maryland, north of Baltimore. It's only relevance to this site is that has a private wave pool there. It's not super epic, but they run it bigger than the one at Typhoon Lagoon. Other than that, it's just a town you pass through on your way down from philly or Jerz

Now Kiawah, that is upscale right there. Gate to even get on the island. Did a show up there in April, went to the Golf Course and all that. Kiawah is for sure legit, but its just a big, uppity plantation. I would HATE to live there. But as far as being "ritzy" and all that, they are. No Doubt.

Yeah, I would never live there. You have to go through the gate and drive off the island just to go to a grocery store. However, the north end seems to get some decent waves.

Wow, never really seen waves break like that. Looks like they are flowing sideways, kinda skimming over the top level of water, moving super fast. Like towards the beach with a huge side current. Interesting.

Unless your wearing a sleeveless plaid shirt covered with chew stains, a nascar hat, holding up the local newpaper in one hand and a stuffed armadillo in the other... all while sitting on George W. Bush's shoulders....I'm not buying it.

    Just kidding Paulie. Stay stoked!
