Any thoughts on who the mods are?

 

The last time I named my suspects I received points, and I was wrong. Not sure if simod44 is still the handle.

 

Not sure, but I "think" it is just Micah. I would assume the SIMOD66 and stuff maybe just alias accounts, to make things a little less personal... But I run about 10 websites right now, have a forum on a couple, no where near this big, but I could never see the need to have multiple "admins" on it to monitor. He probably has a data dump on the back end that saved data everytime someone cusses and it gets *****ed out.

But I know MATT JOHNSON was back in the day, and he always caught sh** for it. People hated him for that. So I would assume that if there are any "admins" besides Micah, they never speak on this site.

It would make no sense to give someone that kind of authority that could use it against those who disagree in a thread or what have you. That was the Matt Johnson speculation...

And unless Micah is clockin 6 figures off this site, he ain't gonna pay someone to provide a service that he can do himself.

 

I mean, he could let people volunteer for the admin roles, but that is a slippery slope and would be irresponsible management to allow an active user to carry out disciplinary action amongst their peers. We all have people that like us, and we all have people that dislike us. Some have more than others. But I would hate to be in a thread with someone, talking politics, or east coast/west coast surfing and then suddenly get an infraction from a guy because he didn't like my Volcom story.

 

I gotta give the mod(s) here a lot of credit. It really takes a lot for them to pull you off. Calling the mod(s) out won't get you pulled, that takes a helluva lot of restraint.

Let's put it this way: I've been banned permanently for WAY less.

The Forum's been much better lately since it's 'found equilibrium' aka without need for simod's boot heel crashing down. The place kinda polices itself.

To Lee's point about social media: well taken in re: communication. As well, FB is an overall evil deal. One reason being that it seems to make the 20-somethings believe that everyone's life is peaches because that's all people post on their FB sites.

- Does Shred not have legal counsel? Why is he still locked up? Should we collect to post bail for him?
- Now the aggro "victim" aged 6 years while in critical condition. He was listed as 49 the other day now he's 55. I guess a concussion and brain trauma puts years on your life. Instantly.
- Are we being proactive enough to take care of our own? Yes bros, Shred has earned our representation.

 

Still maintain the shredmachine is about 15 years old, and reads a lot, but just couldn't get his thoughts going from his twisted mental swirl.
