Personally my interest is at an all time low..

Of course it is still relevant but is it still interesting to you guys?

What changes would you like to see?

It has dropped off. Various reasons.

They need to add/do a better job of promoting the/some QS Tour/ broadcasts, some of those events are as good if not better then the CT events.

I enjoy the series from WSL 'All In' - - unfortunately it's on FB. Well-produced by the Red Bull production team.

I never found it interesting, there's really not much to dwell on.
It's competition, it's about the glory of being the best at surfing waves.
Maybe we'll see more shark encounters...that will spice things up some.

WSL - they are YOUR ENEMY as a surfer. They are the NAZIs of surfing. Surfline is their Joseph Goebbels, propaganda ministry.
Along with advertisers, they are responsible for ruining your surf spots.

Now, shall I tell you how I really feel??!!??
    Just opinion, of course......

The WSL has been on a downward spiral for a number of years now. I'd say it peaked 7 or 8 years ago and began a slow spiral. The spiral has been accelerating and now its a full blown death spiral. The media has changed. 7 or 8 years ago it was all about the webcast. These days nobody has time for their lame webcasts. Today its all about the clips be they on YouTube or Instagram. I'd much rather watch the latest YouTube edit from Brett Barley, JOB, Mason Ho or Koa Rothman. WSL contest surfing is stale compared to these YouTube webisodes.

WSL please change the following rules.

    1. any claim on a wave results in a 2 point loss.
    2. no more priority. this ends dudes camping on other dudes and promotes more aggressive "cage match" style of surfing.
    3. allow fighting like in hockey. get dropped in on??? .... boom its on mf'er.
    4. men and women compete together. equal pay for equal competition.
    5. allow one contest spectator or lucky winner per event to kick joel turpel in the nuts on air.

this will get things going in the right direction again.

It's at an all time low for me as well.

Worst part is that in order to watch the stream, you MUST be signed in to facebook. WTF is that?

I have my facebook deactiavted for career reasons, and I couldn't watch the pipe masters unless I re-activated.

Top 5 things I hated most about the WSL in 2018:

    5) Surfing in s****y waves. Who wants to see that garbage?
    4) Surfing places I would not want to surf. (Brazil garbage water)
    3) One turn waves (airs)
    2) Facebook requirement
    1) and finally: Gabby f***ing Medina. F*** that zero style, tramp stamp having, cry baby, son of a b**** loser.

I don't watch too many events but I have the WSL app on my iPhone and can watch all of their events live through that. Never needed Facebook, and since I don't have one, I wouldn't bother creating one just to watch it. Have you tried downloading the app on your phone?

They sure change their name a lot.

maybe kind of a sign that surfing still hasn't found a way to consistently market, promote and most importantly, judge criteria consistently.

Maybe the sport/art of surfing is such that no matter the effort, will be one of those things better done than watched.

Or maybe professional surfing is solely run by a non-stop cast of moron surfers

I watch a lot of sports regularly but for some reason I have never had an interest in the competitive side of surfing. Throw in having to watch it on facebook and I'm out for good.
