I recently moved to Isla Vista for school. It has been flat as a lake here. Do the waves get good here? I don't have a car so the only surf spots I have access to are Campus Point, Sands , Devereux, and poles. If you have any information let me know.

Dude, you are in Santa Barbara during the summertime. The Channel Islands block 99% of any southerly swell, and you are at the most southerly-facing beach in the entire state. You'll only find summer surf if you drive north (Jalama) or south (Ventura). You better come up with some scratch for a hoopty.

FYI: stick around for fall and winter...all of SB goes off, without the typical LA crowds.
