I was willing to give Austin a chance. I kinda liked him at first, seemed like a good guy with good intentions. But now I'm with you all. This place is going down the crapper. The funny thing is....well it's actually sorta sad, but...If things keep going this way, this whole site will be ruined. Really. Like bye bye ruined. I don't think Austin will be told her did a good job if the site went bye bye thanks to all this crap. If we all go, the clicks go, meaning the ads and cash go, meaning site dies. Austin, of your reading don't respond. Just think about it. You got kids to provide for. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just real. Your not getting paid to make a site disappear. How will whoever pays you feel about your ability to perform your job if the site goes bye bye? Maybe you got in over your head. Well, you did get in over your head. But it's to late now. Think long and hard about what your doing here. Having a site go to shiz this quickly after your take over has to be some sort of record. That can't look good on your resume. Why do these sites have moderators? I really don't understand a lot of this crap. I am old but seems ridiculous that a site needs to pay someone to perform moderator duties. Even if someone says/posts something awful it's just words?
How true it is, it's sad actually, it used to be a pleasure coming on here discussing and even arguing about things, then differences were settled and threads went on.....now you just get banned. You know, I've never had an infraction. Mods
can't speak for Swaylocks but i've been on the Surfer BB for years and don't find it brutal at all. somewhat insular, and a difficult line-up to break into, but ignorance and trolling there seems to get ignored more than anything. the erbb hive-mind is pretty civil, imo - a reasonably adult environment (at least in the surfing area - they also have the good sense to separate the political stuff from the general population) - and when people beef, they do it with wit and sophistication.
