I think what SI is saying is that the Native Americans didn't really try to explain it nor did they have any drive to figure out why. When asked about Wankan Tanka, they simply replied, " It is a mystery to us. We can't explain what we don't know, so we don't waste are time trying." They really didn't 'worship" anything. They 'celebrated' the things that gave them life. The sun and rain were celebrated for growing crops. The buffalo, elk, deer, rabbit, and turkey were celebrated for giving them food and clothing. The forest was celebrated for providing shelter. Fire was celebrated for providing warmth. Even a woman's vag was celebrated for providing pleasure and offspring. They kept sh!t simple.

^ Exactly CYC. Now those Muslims, I try to tell them, it's not 73 virgins you get if you go all jihad on us. You get one virgin, she's 73 years old. Have fun.

If that is true, then all was already decided and known. Meaning every time someone kills innocent people, god knew about it and did nothing to help. Your god is one evil a55hole.

See, I really like what Chavy put up. Namely, some things are impossible to figure out - - so why waste oneself trying to explain it....just celebrate it!

The human virus is arrogant ignorance quantified. Why? Because the human virus really believes that it can figure out everything & explain everything. Ergo >>>> religion.

And the scores of weak-minded simpering sheeple have, for eons, bought into this: that everything, including perhaps the most intense mystery of all (death), can be explained away through religious asspects.

Whereas in reality, everything can't be explained. Which brings us back to the human virus need for answers. And other human viruses pick up on that clamor & foist 'answers' through mythical beings - - and sheeple like waynetheinsaaaaane & ISIS go for it hook, line & sinker.

Religion is the equivalent of someone saying to you that the stars in the Milky Way are actually surf breaks; and when you say that's not true, in fact it's crazy; they say, because you can't prove to me that they're not surf breaks then it must be true.

So, I just got simod666 a toasty 2,870+ clicks on his website. Simply for posting THIS 'Been Awhile' tread.

And yet a friggin prole hits me with an infarction for 'trolling.'

Dude. Duuuuude. Arise from your stupor! I just got your next 3 sponge boards paid for in full. Get it? Clicks = moulah, sparky. Banishments = boredom = no clicks = no moulah.

Of course when you're a mere volunteer in the lawd's army of big brotherism, the P&L sheet is like reading Martian.

I know you don't like me (as Billy so well points out, the banned are the unliked here on SI) but is Gander MTN really paying the freight here? Are the Russian date ads really dope moeny?

You should rein in the dingaling who is serving as 'the micah minion' - - I can't recall his name but it's (thankfully) not that goof simod from a few years back from near AC who couldn't spell his own name if someone hung a Benjamin on the bar stool.

We're all grown ups here & we do just fine without your interference.

Are you taking a bow, Wayne? A little humility might suit you.

Im In no way religious. I firmly believe that different people find different ways to happiness in this life. As long as someone is not directly imposing their belief systems on you there is no reason to tear them down. Jesus, alah, hari Krishna, Joseph smith. Who cares? Surf forum = surf posts brajsta chill with the hate
