Just curious, what were reasons you selected that particular bike? Been looking at picking up a 2015 Yamaha FJ-09
off road capability are the main reasons to buy that model. If you don't want that id say your better off with the Yamaha. cheaper to own. I got this bike with a blown clutch that had damaged the case for cheap. Im a mechanic, and this belonged to on of my customers.
Sport touring....the reason I'm looking at the FJ09. That & massively plus reviews from the UK (FJ-09 is named the MT Tracer over there). Sounds like you got a mechanic's special for real aka vry good buy. Due to my height (6'3) might go with the KTM 990. Or the BMW GS800 Adventure model which has higher seat option than BMW GS. I'm not interested in a 600+ lb bike nor am I going 'The Long Way Round' so that rules out the full-on GS. Nice thing about the Yamaha is they have x10 the number of dealers in the USA as BMW. For when, not if, it breaks.
no way dude, really? holy ****. already? (looking into the distance over the ocean) ...the winter's coming.... wow.. ok? that poetic scenery right there. captured.
I prone paddle when it is flat. Sold my last motorcycle in 2012, 1974 RD250. Had a long series of them, rode on the track mainly. In order 95 Suzuki GS500 84 Yamaha RZ350 92 Yamaha FZR100 94 YZF750 05 Kawasaki ZX6R Suzuki SV650 Another ZX6R 1987 Yamaha TZR250 with 340cc Athena kit 2009 Yamaha R6 '97 Aprilia RS250 Don't miss bikes, even after 12 years on the track.
Lotta cage drivers trying to kill bikers. Texting, phone calls, music, all kinda crap going on. Not good out there.
