the routine of hitting the skate park, watching surf movies, fixing up my boards, isn't working anymore...this flat spell is the longest I can remember

I got lucky this past weekend with a trip down to Southern NC. I almost didn't even bring my board but I ended u scoring a couple fun sessions. Sunday night was a good surprise - waist to stomach, fast and hollow. Monday morning looked like solid chest high sets but I had to drive back North unfortunately. One of those swells where I never would have known it existed had I not been staying right at the beach. Regardless, the forecast is looking depressing...

Just got back from PR what a life saver that was. 7 day trip got in the water 6 of them with quality consistent surf. Only day I missed was the day I arrived last Monday it was triple over on set at Wildo a little to big for me :) . Looks like another bomb swell hitting today if you got some dough and time take the trip.

a thought crossed my mind last weekend on my 5 hour drive to go snowboarding... this coast has a little bit of everything, but it's all half-a55ed.

I am repairing my wetsuit tonight and watching surf movies. That should help right? Here is to a spring full of warmer water and south swells.

i think it really just depends where you are surfing. This short period northerly stuff just misses a lot of beaches. I surfed a few consecutive weekends down in OBX that were decent but VB has been dead flat for a WHILE.

southern N C has been good the past6-7 weekends Waist to chest high waves atleast one day on the weekends I can,t complain , Swellinfo has missed a few time but they give a forecast for E I not for Alantic beach which catchs ssw wsw swell much better then E I . Sat forcast was ankle to knee high , ButAB was waist to stomach with chest high peaks early down to around waist to thigh by 9 when I came in Alot of west this year has made it a different type of winter Used to more east swell this time of year

A B has been pretty good the past 6-7 weekends with waist to stomach waves atleat one day each weekend They have been shorts swells and you have to be on it quick But with the good work they do here I have been on it , They have missed a few times but there forecast is for E I and AB get the wsw-ssw swell much better and I add 1-2 foot to the forecast if it has west in it, Sat forecats was small but from daybreak till 9 was nice fun waves in the waist to stomach with chest hight peaks

Yeah yyour right dead flat, occasional rideable wind dribble, what sucks is I have ZERO trips south this winter, working 60+ hours a week right now and unless I get swell here at home, I dont have time to drive south. Depressing winter! Winter usually is, but we also usually have waves to make the winter worth while!
I cant believe we have been blessed with warmish (just made that a word) winter water and warm air temps but its sort of a waste with no surf!

Not only that, but it's to the point where I only login to the forum to post a facepalm about all the retarded things people post on here.
