Vinegar didn't do **** for me after I had a sea nettle tentacle wrapped around my leg. I got right out of the water and ran to the car where I had some vinegar, put some on the stings, no help at all. That thing itched and burned for weeks. Next time I'm gonna try scraping it with a credit card and see if that helps.
I have papaya vinegar in my beach bag. Papaya also neutralizes the amino acid that is injected into you from the jellys. It is a natural meat tenderizer and amino acid is the building block of protein, so that is why it works on jelly stings. I was diving the other day and saw some thimble jellyfish - they spawn sea lice. Once the water temp gets about 79-81 degrees. So get ready ya'll.
grammarians. once in the sopac i watched a 50M jelly drift through the line-up. tentacles the size of my thighs. coulda eaten me.
I'd be glad to pee on your leg for you, in the interest of helping out a fellow Swellie. You are a female, right? Otherwise, the above offer is off the table.
Also it's shark migration season. Spinners everywhere today. I think they were being chased by bulls. Very dangerous. Oh, and it's rip current season too. People being sucked out to sea left and right. So it is not safe at all in the water now. These things seem to be especially occuring near inlets, piers and any place that has a sand bar. I recommend to stay far away from the beach until further notice. Go take care of stuff around the house or something. I intend to go check the conditions tomorrow morning. Early. I'll let you know if things have improved.
You're just jealous. What about me? I have to suffer through all your Waffle House waitress conquests.
"Waffle house has the sexiest waitress's ever" I dont know why I made that a quote, no one ever said that...
Burn spray ....works used it last year on my daughter .....and again some other kid who was writhing in pain.from a sting and whose parents were packing it with a mixture of sand and salt water which didn't work
