My parents built a home on the bay 20+ years ago...learned to surf past the castle on a 9' Con. Good times...wish I was old enough to head into the castle when it was still standing.

i hear ya...once you go below LBI, it's uncharted territory for this kid. i heard there are casinos, pineys, elephant statues, creatures that roam the pine barrens that resemble a goat crossed with a man, and other assorted oddities.

Maybe true.... in some ways. But definitely not in others. You'll never hear me pine for the boards of the 70s or 80s... or the wetsuits... or the fins... or the water quality... ... ... ... ... Just tell me when to stop....

Maybe get to know the few guys who do surf winter there- probably some of the closest surfing friends you'll meet are the ones that actually surf (year round)

surfed Brig in '06 on a real good swell...a strong low moved off the coast the night before.

I paddled out alone, caught some beautiful rides that September day.

Hello thread. Hello. I live in philly. I am up for winter waves, been surfing 6 years or so. Longboarder. Dislikes: flat rockers, stepping on s!?:, impossible to determine closeouts, 3hr paddlefests, getting S hammered on paddle outs(jersey has no channel alot of times), and people with attitudes that have no foundation. Likes: my 9'6'with a sick rocker, anyone that has a sincere drive to surf, surfing crap conditions as well as "good" conditions, and genny light. Ill be at brig this weekend, looks like something is coming in. Hit me up. Deuces.

Brig breaks consistently, offshore, gotta go to the right spot, right time.

Good recon mish to drop the hello post. That's proper etiquette at dis break. Needless to say, I don't trust any cat from the Main Line that doesn't drink Yuengling lager. Take your LB and go paddle up a backwoods creek in Conshohocken.

sandblasters, yankee, rcarter, MIS and others will now review your hello post and kook file.

Look for an Irish looking dude talking to the seagulls, I'm sure he'd paddle out with you.
