No, thanks for explaining. Great theory.

No problem. As I mentioned, I've seen the theory manifest itself through several friends. NC can produce hefty student loans, but it can't provide the jobs to pay them off. But I made those hypothetical friends up as part of my ridiculous and uninformed comments.

and the jobs part...NJ and NC have nearly equal unemployment rates...9.7 vs. 10.2...prob within margin of error for that kind of stat.

Ok, but unemployment rates don't speak to the quality of the jobs or wages. Half of NC probably works at Walmart or Shoneys.

uh,i'm from new jersey,my beach is clean, water clean,i'm not italian,we don't talk that way,am friends with Hatteras locals who all know we get great surf up here, and know we have good jobs and more money up here.
one miserable avon boy who's probably from vb does not represent Hatteras.
Hatteras locals don't talk negative about people.
come down to the motels and the jetties next week, avon boy.
i'll be out there having a great time surfing with the locals.

NJ is the armpit of US surfing

I do like the brunetts. How come all NJ people look the same, dark hair, short and a bad attitude. Maybe the trash on the beach has something to do with it...

It's much better now than in years past. When I was a kid I got staph infections from surfing beaches where untreated sewage was discharged straight into the ocean. They put a stop to that shortly after, but there was a time, not too long ago, that it was legal.

Then they tackled ocean dumping.... which was the source of needles on the beaches. During that time, the mob was dumping barges full of trash, including medical waste, just offshore, rather than paying the tipping fees for proper disposal. I found a needle in Belmar one summer, then found FOUR in one summer right here in my home town... one of them I found with my foot. That caused me to be treated for hep and get tested for AIDS and get liver enzyme tests every couple months for a year after that.

Now I know you don't live on the OBX. Everybody knows OBX tourism is down. If you're living in the OBX and telling people to stop coming, you're either living off of mommy and daddy or independently rich. Given the way you post, the latter is definately out of the question.

You do have an active imagination, though. I guess that's the positive side of having nothing but empty Skoal cans to play with as a kid.

Forgot to mention that; neither the wife or I have an ounce of Italian blood in us either. Unless you want to go back hundreds of years to when Rome was conquering everyone. :D

ok see ya later! Move out! I'm sure whatever country you have dual cit for doesn't do anything to treat their sewage before dumping it in the ocean.
