Micah/amateur meteorologists...care to share any insight on why the weather this month has been so atypical? I love it but am just curious as to what is going on with these abnormal atmospheric conditions.

the northern jetstream is still hovering over us, that's why we've had such crappy rainy weather. When the northern jet finally goes away it should allow the southern jet to finally move in. Then it won't be rainy and cloudy and sucky every day and there might even be a chance of legit waves.

    thanks uh...

So why hasn't the Northern Jet Stream shifted? Has the typical Bermuda High that we see this time of year not built in? What causes the Northern Jet to shift?

Some times, but lately it has brought slop. We haven't had too many clean days in the past month. :(

Yeah, I'm still interested too. I know there is a huge High over the Mid-South section of the country and Seattle has been getting the weather we usually have in mid-June. Hopefully the jet stream will get its ass in gear soon! :D
