I appreciate your knowledge of liabilities, etc., however, my point was not on motivation, but on the right he has, as leading a group, to establish the requirements for his group as he sees fit. I could think of other illustrations, but I'm content to agree to disagree.

Agreed. And yes he does have the legal right since this is America and it is his group, but he does not in my opinnion have the "right" to do it.

No beer! That's a damn shame. If I had the cash to ship to Hawaii, I would send you a care package of fresh brew.

"Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy."

oh, there is beer here, just not in the forum, unless I bring it :)

Also, my final point about why Christianity is looney toons and is best ignored. I dont want to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so I will say loving everyone as your brother is the highest ideal of mankind......however, the fundamentalists believe, nay, are anxious for an earth-destroying battle near Meggido Israel, on the plain of armageddon. They believe armies of Jesus (didn't know he had one) and armies of satan ( a mythological creature representing our egos) are going to duke it out with tanks and nuclear weapons for a winner take all showdown

so instead of affecting change and calling BS on the Palestinian occupation, they say its Gods will, the earth will be destroyed anyway, blah blah blah

From what I read, the old JC would be most unhappy with the treatment of the occupied territories and would love to prevent a battle/slaughter

So, looney toons crew, please stop spreading your neurosis, the grownups are working on real problems like building bridges and roads and food production and waste reduction, etc

I hear you, rcarter. This whole forum is based on opinions, so there is never a right or wrong post. It is up to the readers to decide what posts deserve attention and which posts do not. Some posts may deserve a counter thought, but sometimes that can get a little excessive; as in Wayne's case. I can't remember who said that he was "forcing religion down our throats," but those who claim he's forcing religion down our throats are the same people who are forcing the anti-Wayne down our throats! What's the difference?

Either way, I'm asking the community here to let all of this back and forth banter go. This place is a surf forum, not some middle school *****fest forum.

Hopefully, we'll get some waves soon

As one who got drawn into the wayne-gnome-chuckabooboo insanity, I agree with DL.

Let's get back to surfing. Ignore the 3 blind mice, er, trolls.

To the guys that have nothing good to say, STAY AWAY. It is simple, I am not trying to get you all going. I am just putting info out there that is surf related with Jesus in it. I am a Christ Follower looking for fellow surfing Christ Followers to join a movement. Right now this is a free country, that is the beauty of the USA. Most of the guys I speak to from this forum do not even post. Listen, there is more + feedback than you think. For you guys who bring other religions I will never put you down. For me it is about a personal relationship with JESUS

    1 Peter 4

    New International Version (NIV)
    Living for God

4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2 As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3 For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4 They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you. 5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
    Suffering for Being a Christian

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”[a]

19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Just doing my job as a servant of Christ.

I'd rather live my life for my evil human desires. And will continue to partake in drunken debauchery, lust and orgies.
