im downn with the whole civilization thing i just want to do as little work as possible for it and live on the periphery in symbiosis. im not happy at the idea of ferality but i think its inevitable so i arrange my life in a manner to get used to it incrementally.

dont get me wrong i like the whole fourty different kinda beers at the supermarket thing and hot water in the showers thing but im just not expecting it to be around much longer.

Your right that its hard work, but if you just nut up you can do it for your whole life. I work with dudes in there 60s who have been doing this there while life. Built like tanks. But your not completely wrong. That's why is line to start my own company early. So when I'm older i can still surf. But if i don't start my own. Hey ill just man up and keep on keeping on.

I went to school for HVAC. Paid for by myself. When i got hired i was taking a big pay cut. Why? Because i had to prove myself and earn respect. I was 100% happy with that and understood. I expected it. I would of made more flipping burgers. I busted my ass to prove my worth and gain the respect. And even now that i habe done that and make decent money, i still don't get paid what guys who have been doing this for 10-30 years do, ebb thigh i do the same work they do. And i get it. Im cool with it. Got to put the time in. I don't expect to have anything handed to me.

Surfing was the same. Growing up i didn't paddle out with the best on the main peak expecting waves.i stayed off to the side for years. Like 10. Now off earned my spot in the local line up. Now I'm no ripper. But I'm recognized and respected in the line up by guys who rip and guys who have been surfing these waters for longer then iv been alive. I follow etiquette and put in the work and time.

Now I'm not standing up for millennials. Your right. Most have mommy and daddy pay for a degree then expect top pay because they have some piece of paper. Then when they don't get the money they complain. That's not me.

Hey yank. No offense is taken. But if like to point one thing out. You mention umbrage because of something someone said on the internet. I'll admit, i had to look that word up. But moving on.... there was no offense taken on my part. Just standing up for myself. Which is not a bad thing. If you honestly think stank bothered me at all, you're solely mistaken. My only purpose in this thread was to prove the point that everything he was claiming i was, wasn't true. And i proved it whether you like it or not. He had nothing to say but random insults. Talking about real work while he's sitting behind a desk (i know he said he has done real work. And i respect that. But the word here is irony).

Taking a stand and standing up for oneself is a bad thing now? No matter what i say, you guys will twist it. I'm whiney, yet you guys are the ones whining. I'm not a real man yet I'm the one who stood up for myself. I don't know what real work is yet today i swapped out a 200+ plus pound motor, as well as the shaft and bearings, that sits in an enclosure 12 feet off the ground while he sits behind a desk. And no, that's not a story, it's a fact that I'm using to make a point.
