    Slight diversion off-topic.

Golf had no drug testing for a long time. Looking at Woods, the guy was slabbed out when in his prime (in that period of time when he was winning many majors, prior to when Elin Nordegren smacked the 6 iron heard 'round the world); and at that same time there were an increasing number of grumblings from Tiger's fellow PGA pros about how there was HGH & PED's being utilized by "certain players" on the tour & that testing was needed, "even in golf."

What's the drug testing policy for the ASP? Specifically, PEDs?

Slater is 40 & looks, physically, quite different than a few years ago. We know from 'the steroid era' that each & every athlete who improved their performances as they hit 40+ was on some form of juice. No question about it.

Genuinely curious. What's the drug testing policy for ASP?

I generally feel like surf/snow/skate boarders are better athletes. Send any pro non-surfing athlete out on a shortboard or a skateboard and see how they do. It would be comical at best. Then throw all of us non pro surfers in a basketball or football scrimmage, and watch us play the GAMES with ease (of course not like pros). A painted field or court is a far cry from an OCEAN with its own agenda. The ocean is considerably more intimidating then any pro defensive line or crosswind on the fairway will ever be. For me, nothing outweighs the power and majesty of the ocean. For the general population, my words fall on deaf ears and for that I am glad.

Years ago, I street skated heavy. Naturally, at times I would eat **** heavy. Occasionally pedestrians would laugh at me when I ate ****. I would calmly walk over to them, hand them the board and say "can you show me how to pull that?" Their attitude would change for the better every time, saying things like "sorry", "you ok?" In most cases those people couldn't even stand on a skateboard yet they were condescending towards my best athletic efforts. When I completely blew out my knee doing an air on a half pipe, my "pro sports orthopedic doctor" referred to me as "you skater punks". AKA he didn't consider me an athlete like his basket ball player patients despite my 40-43 bpm resting heart rate. He had no concept of my speed, power, and agility. Little did Dr. Harrison know I could dunk a basket ball too. F*cker. I guess my point is if you never surf/skate/snowboard proper you'll never get it and most likely be condescending or dismissive toward the ATHLETES involved.
