i was enjoying a nice nj session this morning. Lineup was spread out with multiple peaks. I already caught plenty of waves and was alone on a peak when a guy paddles out to the inside of me. The old me would have said hello, nice waves etc. the new me, agitated by all these swell info posts said nothing and mentally got pissed by him sitting inside of me. Outside set rolls instead of being cool and letting him have it, i pull a **** move I paddle around him and grab the wave. On this inside I crash and burn, land on my board and f up my back. I couldn't even bend down to throw my sh*t in the water for being a douche. From now on I will go back to the old me, stop reading about brad pitted and enjoy the surf. Peace
I don't see the problem. Nothing wrong with someone paddling out and sitting inside from you...and nothing wrong with you paddling for a wave you've been waiting for (if he paddled underneath you, that's another story). I don't see this a kharma...you were either tired or just got a unlucky...or both.
