...for these swells the past couple weeks. In some spots it looked like a walk-out paddle and reeling lefts. Looks fun as sh** today too. Anyone get it good out on Da Island? The voyage for me is just a daunting one. Mucho traffico and no time-O.
Long Beach has been working like a champ. I've only been surfing LI for a few months but the drift seems to always be an issue. Pretty sure I could paddle out at LB for dp and get out of the water at my house in Belmar for breakfast before work.
Just got out of the water in Long Beach (now stuck in my city cube). It's been firing for a week. Today was a barrel fest. Head high + and reeling down the beach. Silly perfect. The last two days have been fun. Saturday was a chest hair and pintail type o' day.
True that. I'm not so familiar with the area yet, but I was watching from a roof on the beach(almost as far east as you can get) and only saw two guys paddle out. They made it out fairly easy...but they drifted for about 30 mins without catching a wave. Ended up all the way down by (what must have been) the best working spot (it was the only spot with people out). The forecast for Sunday and Monday made Saturday look like more work than it was worth. Did you catch any Sat?
