Hey! I'm going to LA for the first time and would like to know if anyone can suggest any decent breaks. Let me say though, anything over 4-5 feet is too much and I'm not terribly experienced, so I don't want to be out there getting pounded and getting in the way of others. Also, I'm going at the end of October if that plays into your consideration any. Thanks!
Breaks in L.A. About the best break in the greater L.A. are is El Porto at Manahatten Beach. Go north, you've always got the 'Bu. Further north is County Line and the great breaks of Ventura County. Forget anything south of Palos Verdes until you get into Orange County. Try wannasurf.com for some basic info.
