My guess is it hasn't had time to "develop". If the thunderstorm activity remains the same or increase as well as does not move much further, if at all to sea, it could form a little storm that would travel up that stalled front. I've seen this occur before. Warm, moist air will cycle in from the south and contribute to further development IMO. Perhaps I'm full of it or I've spoken too much...there will never be surf. There's too much westerly wind shear on it. Everyone go to Lake Michigan where the real waves will be. I will closely monitor the Flat Spell in the Atlantic. If you are here, watch the ECSC and support your local surfers. Don't surf if there are waves...they're loud and scary!

Here is some hope for the desperate surfers out there...that dip in the jet stream could pull the former TD 7 and provide a lil low pressure system that will travel along the front. To increase the effects of this, one of us will need to get in a plane and drop dry ice into the clouds of the system thus intensifying it.

Sanks Cremson, for a minute there I thought you were judging me by my 5th grade photo above. I’m soo smaat that I epoxied my gold chains to the outside of my Cavaricci wetsuit and I’ll never lose them now. Not to keep bragging but, I Macgyvered the sh*t out of my 5.0 and it makes Kit look like a b*tch. Yin yang in da house. What. Word.

For sure the first 1/2 of August can be brutal. BUT,.
The last 10 days of August is almost always good. Think about hurricanes and beaches while lifeguards are still on duty before labor day. It's like clockwork. Every single year it's the same thing. I can't remember a single season that has been this bad for tropical stuff. Basically not a single tropical swell up here other than a quick 2 hour shot of berly from 6 to 8pm which I and many others missed. And now nothing on the horizon and it's nearly the 20th of August
