My insurance covered about %15 of the cost. But the place I went to had some special for any insurance, I think it was like $600 off.

congrats man. i hope one day i can do this. my vision is terrible though. like -45 astigmatism bad. i was born cross-eyed and had to have surgery at 6 months. worn glasses since i was 4. cant wear contacts because the astigmatism is so bad the contact doesnt ever suck to my eye. ive learned how to surf and judge depth perception in the water somehow really well. like seeing sets and reading waves better than others who's vision is really good. its really weird.

For years my eye dr told me that I would never be able to get LASIK. Huge bummer, got to the point that I had trouble seeing waves coming, couldn't see a friends face sitting 3' away, even had a hard time finding my truck after I got out of the water! Finally got a second opinion, and did the LASIK procedure. Optometrist want to sell you glasses/contacts. BEST thing I've ever done, life changing! Do it!
