Well I can't say it is a no brainier. The other lens adds100mm and has IS hence the reason for the poll and wanted feedback. :)

    Dude it's real simple....

L series has 20x better glass in it then the other. @ 200mm the L will give you a better picture...case closed.

Just to let you know I own the 70-300mm. It's decent...it's made of plastic...and thats about it. I wish it was a L series but it's not.

If you rather have the extra 100mm and the IS feature instead of QUALITY....then go right ahead. But that lens maxed @ 300mm isnt the greatest. The L series on the other hand maxed @200mm is tits.

I knew you had the lens and was poking at you to provide more. I already had the L in my cart and was pretty much set on it with a monopod. :)

    Thanks for the feedback

I would have to say there is no question between those two lens, that is if you have the money. I own the 70-200 and love it. The real question you should be asking your self is, do I save a little more and go with the 70-200 2.8. Also, the Canon T1i is going to be cropped at 1.6 so you're really buying a 112-320 if that makes you feel better.
