Best I caught it was Saturday, early evening. Was blowing hard out of the south when I first went in. Didn't look too good, but had the free pass so went in. Clouds rolled in from the west, wind went light offshore, and the waves started to wall up. Only about five guys out, and surfed into the dark. Started to get a bit sketched out, so headed in, but a real fun unexpected session. Best part, when I got in I had a couple of text messages telling me to check the cams for the wind shift.

perfect example of why a lot of people said this swell was overhyped... a lot of 2-3 second rides on mediocre at best surf. Cool video otherwise.

I wish someone would post a video of the spot I was at, guys were catching 1-3ft OH waves waaaaaay outside off the jetty and riding them all the way down the beach for what seemed like forever. Easily 30 seconds a ride, and some very talented surfers, everybody was having a blast, nothing but stoke.

Agreed, I mean i checked at least 5 of my favorite spots. Definitely longer rides that 2 seconds and breaking way over head. Still buzzing days later. 6 hours straight of solid surf can not complain about that!
