Doug, let me preface this with a legitimate apology for not returning your PM a few weeks back. It asked about what I do for work, yes, but it also asked about career advice to some extent and I was actually planning on replying with some helpful thoughts.

Let's also remember, when you assert that I ramble endlessly about my traveling escapades, that you PMed me that time because I had not been on the forum for a couple weeks. So what is it bro, do you want to read my posts or do you not want to?

Me thinks this outburst you just had today has a lot more to do with the career crossroads you're at than it does to my life or anything at all pertaining to me.

Calm down, man. I thought we got past our verbal fisticuffs over a year and a half ago. Since then, I routinely give you props for hilarious posts and check in with you from time to time to see how you're doing. That's about it.

Not necessarily. Most all of my travel is domestic and I don't travel much for half the year in the spring or summer. One would assume (correctly) that in traveling much over the years, I've acquired knowledge on how to do it most economically. Also, quite a few times in recent memory have I traveled for work to a great surf or ski place and had no time for leisure (i.e. going to Park City 3 times since October for work and not having time to get on the mountain once).

So if you were to "figure out this gig", would you not comment on it in any way when conversing about related topics? Or would you "brag" and mention it here and there?

So is hounding someone both privately and on a public forum. The First Amendment affords us the right to answer or ignore just about any inquisition. What you're doing is borderline harassment lol


Can we all move past this? 97% of this forum doesn't give a damn what I do for earnings, nor do they care what any of you do or don't do for work.

Most people who are secure with themselves do not need to post pics, tweets or status updates to prove them selves to the rest of the virtual world. I have no idea if Emass is for real or making up stories but how does it affect you either way? If he posted pics of exotic locations and head high+ perfect waves would you feel better about him or would you just feel jealous? If you found out he was lying about it would you feel better about yourself?

PS there is no correct answer to those questions because no matter what you answer you are still a tool for focusing on his life and not your own. You better get some sleep now cause I know you got a big day of High School tomorrow and worrying about how many likes you latest FB post has gotten.
