Let's end the discussion of wave pools

key word... wave pool..

big difference between a pool and the ocean.the ocean wants to kill you,and pools are for retired seniors just looking to get their balls wet.

but shyt if they opened a wave pool a block away from me id give it a try.now I wouldn't go plan a surf trip to the typhoon lagoon lol,even tho they do have decent little peaks there,atleast from footage I saw.do they have 2 wave hold downs in the pools or do they just shut the system down?

but beware,somebody might throw your locker in the pool

 

Definitely should not be an Olympic event. How could it ever be judged? How many cut-backs or lip smacks. What sets the contest apart is wave selection and what you do with it. As far as playing in one... Hells yea but it can never, ever replace the real thing. Right..."no soul" we still need a venue to throw somebody's chit in when they piss us off. The Olympic event could be chit shot put.
