Let's Get Irie!

What a great concert! Nothing better than listening to good reggae music played on the beach on a breezy summer evening. Drinks were cold and tasty, and the herb was smooth and effective.

 

My wife and I are going to another concert this Saturday. We're going to see Sublime with Rome, Lupe Fiasco, Collie Buddz, New Politics, and SOWFLO. I'm going mostly for Sublime w/Rome and Collie Buddz. New Politics isn't really my style from what I have heard from them, and Lupe Fiasco has a couple songs I kinda like. Never heard of SOWFLO till recently and they sound decent. It starts at 2:30pm and goes until 10-11pm, so it's gonna be a long but fun concert!

The show was pretty fun, not the best concert but it had its moments. Collie Buddz and Lupe Fiasco was really good. SOWFLO was pretty damn good too. New Politics wasn’t my cup of tea, decent at what they do, but not into that style of music.

Sublime with Rome was kind of a disappointment. There were a few decent songs but overall it wasn’t that great of a performance. Someone threw a beer or water bottle at Rome toward the end of the set and he just walked off stage and left everybody hanging for 15-20 minutes and then came back like nothing happened and played two more songs and called it. Really weird. Oh and there was a lightning delay that cut Lupe Fiasco’s set short just before he did his last song.

We sat inside a building for 15 minutes and went back to finish the concert. Crowd was light, and the energy wasn’t really there. I still had a good time though. Smoked lots of herb and enjoyed most of the show.

 

I think Rome may have been drunk or something. He was off beat at times, missed some words, said some wrong words, and the energy just wasn't there from him or the band. There is no replacing Bradley.
