Most the female lifeguards around here are 18 to early 20's and are seriously overweight. I get it at the waterpark where you don't even need to be able to swim but the beach is a different animal. All the dudes are cut(no homo). Not being mean just something I noticed this past year or two.
Being cut or overweight. Neither really means that much in performance. Especially in females. Look at most female athletes....most aren't cut. Male and female bodies are different esp when it comes to athletics. So many people don't understand that. An hour in the gym isn't worth a second practicing an actual sport.

I monitored the halls for the best looking girls who wouldn't pay any attention to me. Like all straight young men. Moving people around and crap isn't fun. Luckily the people at my beach know me and I know them and we respect each other.
Whats the best rescue you have done? What is the stupidest thing you have seen someone do lately? And here is a technical question: How can you tell where the rip tide is before anyone is in the water?
What's the worst part of a life guards job? On a somewhat related note, last weekend my wife took the kids to the water park and they had to get everybody out the water twice because kids (I suppose) had dropped a duece in the water. Do you train for fecal removal?
the lifeguards here are skinny but stuck up little ****s that come from all over the ****ry. they think there **** dont stink so i dont listen to anything they have to say. they want me to get out of the water go call the sheriff department. im not having dumb rich yankee hoes tell me what to do i tell them what to do. i will get high on the beach if i want... i will drink my beer with out a bag and drink because its not allowed. i will pull thier high chairs to the low tide line ..thats a good idea lol.
Best? IDK. Really. Rescues are weird. Have had about 3 that were very critical. Stupidest thing lately.........hmmm...........good question........lots. Half of its is the new lifeguards TBH lol. Lots of these include booze, kayaks, or sups. Parents letting kids do things they shouldn't given the conditions. Stupidest thing lately.................IDK there is a lot. Im sure its hard but beginning kitebaorders are good suspects too. Let me think on this one. Rips: look for discolored white/green water. abnormal wave break. to the trained eye they are very apparent. I can post a picture if your really interested.
