Looking to go camp/surf in Jersey. Anyone know places that are open to camp in November or where to go in general. I won't drop in on you I promise.

not trying to be a d1ck but there really isn't any camping zones on beaches in nj that im aware of.ur best bet would be either lbi or ibsp, they let u drive on the beach so maybe u can camp there idk im from the north.as far as sandyhook to Manasquan theres no camping on beaches after dark.im sure u can get away with it somewhere know that its offseason, sandyhook would be great because theres lots of brush to blend in with, but once the rangers see ur car and no people around, they would probably start a manhunt thinking u went into the water and drowned or some bs

I am not aware of anywhere from Brigantine to Cape May that you're allowed to camp on the beach in NJ.

The jersey shore is no place to camp in the winter, there are plenty of motels and strippers in Atlantic city though

there is no camping anywhere near the beach in Jersey except for Cape May. There's a camp ground 1/2 mile from beach there but the likelihood of you getting decent surf there is a long shot. you could do Sandy Hook, but you would need to bike in to keep on the down low and really know the area well to find a good spot as to not be seen by park goers and the park rangers. also its federal property so if you do get caught there the penalties may be severe.
Such is the state of affairs in Jersey. Endless coastal development and strict enforcement of no camping/sleeping or fires on the beach. it aint called New Germany for nuttin.
