Give \"gruvi\" a break, and let him learn how to handle himself (both in and out of the water) but if you want to give him good advice about longboards (and only some of you want to do even that!), check out the late, great Miki \"da cat\" Dora on a longboard on you tube - his style was a thing of beauty - and he didn\'t take any sh*t from anybody - if they dropped in on him, he would push them off (actually, I saw a vid where he stepped back on his skeg, kicked out of the wave, swinging the nose of his board at the guy\'s head that dropped in on him)! Check it out!\r\n http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tchHtWNZkDE
Yeah He did that to Johnny Fontain in the Wind Sea contest of 64 I think . There are a few Dora Vids I have posted before. Point of no Return and Da Cat and 2 of the best.
Yea - I saw them, too - he really was something else (a bit of a prick, too!) but check out the bio : "All for a Few Perfect Waves: The Audacious Life and Legend of Rebel Surfer Miki Dora" - it's a good read about his life, and the early Malibu scene.
