I'm glad you started this threade. I hadn't ridden my LB in at least a year, never on the east coast. I've been taking it out all week and just having a blast. I almost hung five (hanged five?) today...I got my left foot about 6 inches from the nose but couldn't get all the way up there. I did get to the tip once, but the board wasn't in trim and I immediately fell, so that doesn't count.

My board's not really a noserider, but still.

hang fived. you can kinda two step quickly to the nose, dip, and shuffle back. but it's gotta be at least a couple seconds to count tho..

    I tried a longboard once.

That night at dinner I had a glass of seltzer and didn't put any salt on my food, then i gave a crossword puzzle a go and went to bed early.

Next morning I woke up, d*ck didn't work, which is weird because I got up 10 times throughout the night to piss!

    Won't be trying that again.

Thanks Towlie. I knew I had it all ****ed up, but nothing seemed to work. Hang fived...hell yeah.

Anyway, I almost hang fived, but I didn't hold it. Gotta wax that front 2 feet I guess for starters, yeah?

Late to the party hear 2Fun. That is a gorgeous board. The color and shine are hypnotic. You could get lost staring into it.

Looking forward to a thread saying how it rides.

Betty, could you please whip up a hurricane for us?? This total flatness and lack of Atlantic hurricane activity is nauseating. It has listened to you in the past.....
    Thank you.

Why would you assume I have a boyfriend? I said I tried a longboard not a SUP

Ha! Give me several weeks to get the ball rolling on this. El Niño gone--check. Ocean temperatures abnormally high--check. Air temperatures a month ahead of schedule--check.

Just a few more things to tweak.

I knew we could count on you Betty!!
Could you please specify that, before it spins off to Europe, that it stop off 500 miles offshore in New England waters?? And remain there for 5-6 days.
    Well, I CAN dream, can't I???

I have 2 Austin longborts. Don't worry too much about dinging it, they really are tanks. Mine almost went through my leg and didn't even have a mark. I ride one with a 10" fcs fat boy as far back as it will go almost always. The other is a glass on wood pivot. He made great boards for normal sized people, hopefully he won't stay retired from shaping.

This one came with a 10" FCS Fluid Foils Hatchet fin. It is sitting right in the middle of the box right now. But once I get it in the water and ride it for a bit, I will play around with the positioning of it.

2FUN, that board is gorgeous. Almost too pretty to risk damaging but it is meant to be surfed. Hope you enjoy it. My only concern would be the dark coloure. In the Florida sun it would be aboot thirty seconds before the wax is just a puddle of molten goo.

That is a sweet looking ride. That's a good fin for it too.
nice work 2fun. I paid $800 for a noserider from a local shaper. Great board. Well made. Thought it was a good price too.

doesn't hold a candle to what you got there bro.

No time to read whole thread but a longboard is essential IMO. I have a 9'6" that is a blast on the mini dayz. I grew up only surfing Short Boards until being in Hawaii. Some of the best sessions I have had there was on a LB. Also, try taking it out on a big clean day at high tide on an outside sandbar...can be super fun.
