    Agree. A cruiser should have some mass and glide. Taking a shape like that and then cutting out maybe 50% of the weight and making it out of a far more buoyant material is unnecesarily -imo- messing with a successful formula. These kind of boards have been made out of poly cores for 50 years and it just makes sense to me to use time-tested materials for a time-tested shape.

    I saw a Ricky Carroll 9'2" PLB with a 5 fin configuration. I was very intrigued by all the fin placement options. You can go single, 2 + 1, or quad. Anyone ever ridden a quad longboard? I appreciate all the info and suggestions, it has been very helpful. I'm still in the hunt and checking out all the options. Of course, a custom-shaped is still in the running. :cool:
