longboarders, help me out

    ive ridden shortboards for almost 6 years now, and last year recently switched to riding longboards, i have a 9'6", and i just dont have the power to pump the board to stay up to speed to stay in the wave on those big days, any tips to build speed?

    It more of being in the right part of the board at the right section of the wave. Stalling , Noseriding, and turning are all used for keeping you moving on the wave.

    Start moving around on the board front to back ect. Its okay it not like a short board where ur fixed in one spot basicly.
