Hey dude thanks for checking back! I should have updated... Sorry guys I let down the swellinfo crew...

    Ended up getting this fin:

So this fun was probably my least favorite when looking to buy one- but my best friend had of laying around, so I tried it.... AND I LOVE IT! Seriously changed the longbort for the better.

    It's on this board:

It's a Ricky Carroll bort-9'6 Justin quintal Pig shape - it's kinda a mix between an old pig outline with newer high performance rails/rocker/bottom - I like to ride it on bigger days when I longboard

So I didn't like the fin at first since I thought it would be too pivoty - but it's not and still have some drive!

Plus most importantly- it really holds well while on the nose with all that surface area- long long long nose ride. First time out- I practically had a nose ride the whole way to the beach- hanging five! That's what I really want- a good nose riding fin. My longboard style is more of a classic style, not high performance - so a small fin will not cut it...

Anyways - thanks for checking back! I'm stoked on the fin- and more importantly - stoked again on the board! I was contemplating selling it.. Not any more!

Prior to having the Future Salty Fin- I had a California Classic fin- which worked well in another longboard I had (9'6 Jed Noll pin tail nose rider) but didn't have much hold on this board while on the nose... Like nose time was limited- not because the fin popped out of the water- it just released to early from the pocket since it didn't have enough surface area to hold and to keep water flowing over the back of the deck... Or something like that lol

I like the board and your fin selection. Nice job!!
But I need to ask.....does the orange color make your bort faster, good on cutbacks, or.....what??? <grin>

Thanks Barry!! If you surfed Belmar- I would let you try out the board

If you really gotta know- the orange color actually speeds boards up- but only when wearing a neon pink and yellow wetsuite

Truth be told- I bought the board off craigslist and really just liked the shape and the condition of the board... (And the price- I scored that board for a great price!) although the glass job on the board is cheap and thin...The color really took time to grow on me- but I really like it now. You know, I'm not really a flashy kind of guy, my wetsuite only has 2 different colors (pink and yellow)

    Your pal
