Just start hanging out at surf shops and talk a little bit in and out of the lineup when you actually go surfing.

Eventually you will have something in common with some other surfer. I have friends who surf, but work and family usually means we don't always connect every swell.

Surf more, spend money at your local surf shops and you will be around like-minded people.
